What forms of ID will I need to board the ship?
THE ONLY TWO MUST HAVES TO BOARD THE CRUISE SHIP, NO EXCEPTION
a government-issued birth certificate
laminated government issued picture ID, denoting photo, name and date of birth.
A U.S. citizen under the age of 16 will be able to present either an original, notarized or certified copy of his or her birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad issues by DOS, or Certificate of Naturalization issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
PLEASE NOTE: Baptismal papers and hospital certificates of birth are not acceptable. Voter registration cards or Social Security cards are not considered proof of citizenship.
Do I have to use my legal name when booking?
Yes, Legal guest names are required as deposits are made.
Legal guest names and exact date of birth are required as deposits are made.
Name changes may be made after final payment to all but one of the names listed on the booking, and may be subject to additional charges.
Name changes will be allowed outside twenty-four (24) hours prior to sailing, but may be subject to additional charges given the following conditions: guests’ air has been assigned, documents have been issued, or the request is less than thirty-five (35) days prior to sailing.

How do I pay the gratuities?
Carnival Cruises recommended guideline to what is appropriate is $12.95 USD per person, per day for guests in standard stateroom accommodations and $13.95 USD per person, per day for guests booked in suites. There are two ways of extending gratuities to the shipboard staff :
Automatic Gratuities on Shipboard Account - For our guest's convenience, Carnival will automatically add the recommended gratuities to the guest's Sail & Sign account toward the end of the cruise.
Prepaid Gratuities - Gratuities are pre-arranged and can be added at the time of booking or anytime up to the sail date.
All guests on each booking must prepay the gratuities with the exception of children less than two years of age
The dollar amount for gratuities will appear in the 'Miscellaneous Charge' field on the confirmation. E-Documents will indicate if gratuities have been prepaid.
This cruise will cost each person in your cabin a total of $90.65 ($12.95 x 7days) for the cruise trip. Which can be paid at the time of booking, or when you are on the ship.
Is the gratuity required?
Yes, the gratuity is automatically added to each guest's Sail & Sign® account on a daily basis. Guests who have prepaid their gratuity won't see a daily charge during their cruise.
What is the CHEERS! Beverage Program?
CHEERS! is an all-inclusive beverage program that allows guests to enjoy a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by paying a flat daily rate. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase CHEERS! and each adult assigned to the same stateroom must purchase the program.
The cost to pre-purchase CHEERS! prior to your cruise is $51.95 USD per person, per day plus 15% gratuity. CHEERS! can be purchased online at or by contacting 'The Fun Shops' Department at 800 522-7648, Monday through Sunday, 8:00am-10:00pm ET. Cut-off for pre-purchase is at 10:00pm ET, the evening prior to the cruise departure. Please note that CHEERS! is not available for use on the first day of the cruise due to Texas state laws.
Once onboard your ship, you can sign up for CHEERS! at a bar location beginning the second day of the cruise (starting at 6:00am) and the cost is $56.95 USD per person, per day plus 15% gratuity.
What will the gratuity/tip amount for bar, wine, and beverage service be?
The gratuity of 15% will be automatically added to your bar/ beverage bill at time of purchase this is totally separate from your daily gratuity charge.
Can I go alone if I do not have a roommate?
Yes, however all cabins are based on DOUBLE OCCUPANCY which means that if you want to travel alone you will need to pay for two cruise fairs.
For Example: Interior cabin is $535 per person, you will need to pay this amount times two. So your total would be $1,070 plus taxes. Since it will only be one person in the cabin you are only charged taxes once not per person.
Can I request a cabin with three people (triple) in a cabin, or four people in a cabin (Quad)?
YES, all triples and quads require a minimum of three (3) legal names to secure the stateroom. All family staterooms require a minimum of five (5) legal names to secure. ∞ Premium Suites require full deposit and full legal names at the time of request to be allocated within group inventory. Some suites require (5) legal names to secure. Inventory added after the Final Option Date will carry the prevailing option period for Individual Reservations. Full legal names and full deposits are due at the end of the option period
Can I get Insurance for this cruise?

Are meals included in my cruise?
YES, a variety of dining options is included in your cruise fare for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and late nights.
Is Wi-Fi available on the cruise ship?

Now guests can maximize their vacation fun with Carnival's Faster to the Fun (FTTF) package. This program is available for purchase via Carnival.com Shore Excursions. Space is limited. Simply click on your cruise ship departure port for availability. Faster to the Fun is very popular and sells out quickly so we encourage you to check back in case of cancellations.
Note: VIFP Platinum and Diamond members do not need to purchase this package as these and other benefits are included as part of Platinum and Diamond Club status. All FTTF guests must check-in online and select an Arrival Appointment.

What is the cost for parking?

Valet Parking at Cruise Terminals
The Port of Galveston offers valet parking to passengers who are sailing on a 7 day cruise. Valet stations can be found at both cruise terminals. Valet drop off begins at 9:00AM and closes at 3:00PM. The Port of Galveston allows cruise passengers to reserve a parking spot when sailing out of Galveston. With the pre-paid parking program, the Port is offering discounted parking rates for spots in the Port of Galveston's official parking lots. Do I need a Passport to go on this cruise?
No, U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same port in the U.S.) will be able to enter or depart the country with proof of citizenship, such as:
a government-issued birth certificate and laminated government issued picture ID, denoting photo, name and date of birth. Although a passport is not required, Carnival Cruises strongly recommends that all guests travel with a valid passport during their cruise but this is not a requirement. This greatly assists guests who may need to fly out of the United States to meet their ship at the next available port should they miss their scheduled embarkation in a U.S. port; guests entering the U.S. at the end of their cruise; and guests needing to fly to the U.S. before their cruise ends, because of medical, family, personal or business emergencies, missing a ship's departure from a port of call, involuntary disembarkation from a ship due to misconduct, or other reasons.
Guests who need to fly to the United States before their cruise ends will likely experience significant delays and complications related to booking airline tickets and entering the United States if they do not have a valid U.S. passport with them. You will need a valid passport and, in some cases, a visa. If you live in the U.S., you will also need the original copy of your Alien Registration Card (ARC or "Green Card") and any other documentation the countries on your itinerary require due to your alien status. No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation.
